These peonies were here when we bought House 173 in 1997. The Moshers had planted them sometime in the 1970s.
There wasn't much else here back then... three old shrubs out front, which eventually had to come out. Everything else growing around 173 today came later.
The peonies stayed.
Half a century after they were planted, they're still here, and as healthy as ever.
